Wire inserts Helicoil

Wire inserts Helicoil used to strengthen and protect threads in all metals, to repair deteriorated threads, for self-locking threads; they allow higher closing torques to be obtained compared to a traditional coupling and are impossible to unscrew. Made of stainless steel wire (X10CrNi18-8) with diamond section with tensile strength of 1400 N/mm², hardness 425 HV, they are resistant to corrosion, atmospheric agents, mechanical stress, heat up to 325°C with peaks of 425°C. Particularly suitable for soft metals (aluminium, magnesium) they are used in various sectors: railway, mechanical, military, electronic, automotive, aerospace. It is possible to superficially treat the threads with dry lubricants, galvanization or silver plating.
ISO metric coarse thread, tapping length 1.5 times the diameter, tolerance class 6h. Compatible with DIN 8140.
